The music industry is notoriously hard, beyond frustrating, and extremely thankless. Rarely are you rewarded for your hard work, other than the pure enjoyment of making music.
Just like you work hard in a studio, an athlete works hard in the gym. You practice your music, an athlete practices their game. Both are physical in their own respects and are about mastering skills. Athletes and musicians are actually much more similar than you might think!
Unlike musicians, athletes have centralized systems: teams, coaches, support, and specific paths to success. This gives athletes a feeling of stability, they have a team and foundation to rely on. The music industry is more complex: there is no way to move from the "minor leagues" to the "major leagues." One must rely on connections, strong investors, and extreme luck for a chance at the top.
Thus, most artists are consistently stuck. Thousands of independent artists, bands, labels, and producers are currently competing for spots at the top that do not exist anymore. When local artists struggle, local studios struggle, and thus is the all-too familiar tale of a starving artist with an impossible dream.
Not anymore.
We are bringing a new perspective to the industry. By viewing music a sport, we have created a "minor league" system that can support and move musicians to the top, similar to athletes. Making it to the "major leagues" could mean getting signed to a solid label, or making it big enough independently to achieve your artistic goals!
