Trip Rexx is a rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based out of Denver, Colorado. Crash landing on the scene in 2017, Trip Rexx supplies the missing link between acid-washed sixties psychedelia and codeine-drenched 21st century trap. A modern hip-hop renaissance man, the Toronto-born artist conjures up a sound that might be best described as The Grateful Dead and Bootsy Collins backing Young Thug (in space). He worked on building that lane all by himself.

 

Growing up in Connecticut, he went from playing piano and cello to eventually picking up guitar, bass, and even drums. He cut his teeth playing in bands throughout middle school and high school. An avowed "Dead Head," Trip was drawn to Funkadelic and Bootsy. At age 11, his eyes were opened to the likes of Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Kid Cudi. As Trip's creative palette expanded he started to create beats. In 2018, Trip Rexx Released the Drip EP, with standout tracks "Magnet," "Lazy Sunday," and "RAV 4."
